HAPPY BIRTHDAY POTATO SHACK!

WOW, 11 YEARS, THAT IS RIGHT, THIS WEEK POTATO SHACK HAS BEEN OPEN 11 YEARS.  FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT DO NOT KNOW, MY HUSBAND STARTED A RESTAURANT IN COLLEGE STATION 11 YEARS AGO.  HE WENT INTO BUSINESS ALL BY HIMSELF AND TOOK A GIGANT RISK.  OVER THE YEARS, WE HAVE GROWN.  THE MENU HAS GROWN, THE RESTAURANT HAS GROWN (ANYONE REMEMBER THE ONE ON HARVEY?).  LEE HAS SUCH A GIFT FOR THIS.  HE IS ONE OF THE FEW PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT LOVES WHAT HE DOES.  EVERYDAY IS NEW AND HE LOVES THAT.  I CAN NOT IMAGINE HIM DOING ANYTHING ELSE.  WITH ANY BUSINESS, THERE ARE UPS AND DOWNS, HOWEVER, LEE IS SO PROUD OF WHAT HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED, AND PAIGE AND I JUST THINK ITS INCREDIBLE.

IT IS SAID THAT IF YOUR BUSINESS LASTS TEN YEARS YOU CAN CALL YOURSELF A SUCCESS, WELL GUESS WHAT, POTATO SHACK IS A SUCCESS!

CLOSET WALKER

Paige does not walk.  She stands, she has been standing for months.  I can not even remember a time when she has not be able to stand (by herself).  I went back to work yesterday after a long break.  I went to scoop Paige up from Mrs. Jamie's house after work.  When I got there she asked, "When did Paige start walking?"  I thought she was kidding.  Apparently, Paige walked all day at Jaime's house yesterday like she has been doing it forever.  Everytime we try to get her to walk to us she will just stand there then fall to the floor laughing.  SHe is a closet walker, she walks and she does not want us to know.  Has anyone else's child done this?  Why does she not want to walk for us?  It just cracks us up!
